Helpful Hypothesis or Heresy?

There are some prominent features of Neil T. Anderson's doctrine and approach to spiritual warfare that concern me very much. I think his teaching on demon possession or the demonizing of believers, his teaching that demons can and do have sex with humans, and his strategy for directly confronting the devil himself and demons cross the line of helpful hypotheses to serious heresies. My general observation is that the neo-pentecostal movement plus the new age movement plus a touch of Freudian psychoanalysis equals the Neil T. Anderson school of spiritual warfare. Anderson may have some good and useful things to contribute to Christianity and I have no reason to doubt his sincerity or salvation, but his negative impact on biblical doctrine and practice far outweigh his contributions. Therefore I advise all Christians to stop drinking from the Anderson well. It's poisoned at the source. He offers no helpful remedy for thirsty hearts and minds that cannot be found elsewhere.
